EMBODYING THE INNER GODDESSES

Exploring the 7 Inner feminine Archetypes through Dance and Movement

13 April from 12:00- 17:30 h. Max. 12 participants.

LaborGras. Paul-Lincke-Ufer 44A

Every woman's life is the journey of a heroine. A heroine that takes many different forms, and qualities, that manifests within, offering access to the archetypal powers within you. Myths are expressions of these archetypes, as are many images and themes in dreams. They guide us and influence our path, actively shaping our life's.

We have truthfully accepted and recognized some of these archetypes, but others still remain dormant or hidden. All of them have something to teach you. All of them portray wisdom, potential and capacity. All of them contain a Light/Shadow complexity. All of them live within you and can be manifested when needed.

In this workshop, we will explore and experience through dance and movement the seven main goddesses at the root of Greek Mythology. We know them and we have always known them. The Greeks named them: Artemis, Athena, Hestia, Hera, Demeter, Persephone, and Aphrodite.

Through the body, using the physical - intuitive approach we will recall, rediscover and reawaken them, connecting back to their wisdom and capacities. Recognizing the energy of your natural Goddess archetype, usually the one who guides you, and taking the space to enter all the others, the ones that might have been forgotten, put aside or covered. Taking their hands and entering their nourishing and mysterious reigns. So you can reign fully in yours. Getting to know their strengths and weaknesses, embodying the powerful feminine spirits that serve your heroine Journey.

Dance will be improvised, composed in the moment. Entering the story and energy of each one of them, we will let the 7 Goddesses be, move us, manifest, awake inside, as we navigate movement in an improvised form of dance. We will look and study their individual Myths and stories, theoretically approaching them through the Book “Goddesses in Every woman” written by the Jungian Analyst Jean Shinoda Bolen; Evoking different goddess archetypes can reveal paths. Dancing with each one of them open's up the Mythic dimension of life and art. Come and join us inhabiting all these different and mysterious reigns, fields of mud and water, from where to move/dance. Come to activate, embody and navigate the feminine forces that already live within you.

Previous dance or movement experience is not necessary, but is absolutely welcome.

Prior reservation and booking is necessary to participate in this workshop.

“Trust me, I have never seen Her yet, but I swear, forever I have felt Her all over.” ― Sw. Chidananda Tirtha

“ (…) learn how to follow intuitive feeling. Logic can tell you superficially where a path might lead to, but it cannot judge whether your heart will be in it.” ― Jean Shinoda Bolen

“I'm not so interested in how they move as in what moves them.” ― Pina Bausch
