DANCE IMPROVISATION AND INSTANT COMPOSITION,

CREATIVE WRITING,  POETRY,  ACTIVE IMAGINATION, BUTOH  &  BODY BASED IMMERSIONS IN NATURE

7th (Wednesday) to 11th (Sunday) of February 2024

Daily program, outdoor dance in nature and indoor studio sessions

On a four-day voyage, we immerse ourselves in the boundless sea of the body, a vessel for the immaterial. Through dance, creative writing, poetry and movement, we will awaken to the interconnectedness of body, imagination, and the environment, working in solos, duets and group configurations.

We will be out in nature and indoor at the studio. Listening to the improvised materials, echoing both from the environment and from within, we will embrace each newborn piece with an internal openness, following the unknown in its expression. Our senses, unveiled, invite the imagination to unfold in an ever-new moment, reveling in its unique manifestation. From the quiet place inside of us, we will navigate each creation, inviting the soul to move through body - space - time .

This workshop is designed as a daily tapestry of sessions that will take place in the Studio and at chosen locations in the Island. No dance experience is required to participate, but very welcome;

You can participate only in some sessions, or in the whole workshop. This is a poetic odyssey into the wisdom, imagination, and rhythmic poetry of the dancing body, entwined with nature and the world´s material/immaterial existence .
